Members
Manage organization membership and roles. All project data access flows through org membership — invite teammates here before sharing dashboard links.

Inviting members
Org admins can invite teammates by email:
- Open Settings → Members (or the org admin panel).
- Click Invite member.
- Enter their email address and select a role.
- They receive an email invitation with a sign-up or join link.
- Once accepted, they see all projects in the organization.
Invited members gain access to all projects within the org based on their role. There is no per-project access control — project isolation is for data, not permissions.
Roles
| Role | Org settings | Member invites | View analytics | Manage API keys |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Admin | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Member | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Viewer | No | No | Yes | No |
Exact role names and permissions may vary — admins always have full access. Viewers can explore dashboards and profiles but cannot change project configuration.
When to use each role
- Admin — founders, eng leads, anyone managing billing and org settings
- Member — growth managers, analysts, engineers who need full project access
- Viewer — stakeholders who need read-only access to dashboards
Switching organizations
If you belong to multiple organizations:
- Click your avatar or org name in the top navigation.
- Select the target organization from the picker.
- The dashboard reloads with that org’s projects.
Each org has separate members, billing, and email provider configuration. Project data never crosses org boundaries.
Removing members
Admins can remove members from the org:
- Open Members.
- Click the member’s row → Remove.
- Confirm — they lose access to all projects immediately.
Removed members retain their Pug account but cannot access the org’s projects until re-invited.
Common questions
Can I restrict a member to one project?
Not currently. All org members see all projects. Use separate organizations for strict data isolation between teams.
What happens when I invite someone who already has a Pug account?
They receive an invite email and the org appears in their org picker after accepting.
Can viewers create Insights queries?
Viewers can run and view Insights but typically cannot save dashboards or change settings. Confirm your org’s role configuration in Settings.
